Jul 19, 2023I built a super easy DIY privacy screen to stop my neighbors peeping into my yard
A CRAFTY woman has shared how she built an easy DIY privacy screen to stop her neighbors from peeping into her yard.
Among the items she used for her house transformation was cheap Home Depot wood.
"Here's how I built a super easy DIY privacy screen to stop the neighbors from peeking in the backyard," Shayna (@theflippedpiece ) said in her TikTok video before giving out her tips.
"So I went to Home Depot and I got one by four treated pieces of wood, and a new Wagner Flexio 3500 spray gun."
The wood was $5.68 a piece.
"I'm using the detailed finishing nozzle with this and this is a great sprayer for outdoor projects," she said.
"I took these two paint colors and I mixed them together to get the closest paint match to the deck.
"I loaded it on to the sprayer and I started to spray my heart away.
"This sprayed so effortlessly, and once the first coat dried, I flipped it over and did the same thing to the other side, and I did about 22 pieces of wood in just under an hour," she said.
She then talked about how she built the screen.
"Then I began building the screen.
"The most important part is to make sure your first piece is level, that way all the rest of them are cohesive with it.
"I took a few dance breaks, used my ladder, put that wood up with a nail gun, and in just over half a day, I was able to create this amazing beautiful DIY privacy screen and it looks so good.
"What do you guys think of this really easy summer DIY project?" she concluded.
Over in the comments section, people praised Shayna's work.
"Wow!!! Great job! Transforms the space!!!" one person exclaimed.
"You did an awesome job on it! Came out so so nice," a second said.
