Oct 24, 2023First Hitachi Palm Nailer Announced
Hitachi Power Tools recently announced the newest addition to its Pro Preferred Pneumatic Nailer lineup with the company-first 3-1/2-inch Hitachi Palm Nailer, model NH90AB. It's designed specifically for driving bulk nails in confined spaces where a nailer might not fit and there's no room to swing a hammer.
The NH90AB accepts commonly used bulk nails up to 3-1/2-inches ranging from 0.113- to 0.162-inches in diameter. It features a magnetic nose, a 1/4-inch 360° swivel fitting, an over-molded rubber grip, and a front exhaust. The Hitachi Palm Nailer weighs in at 1.3 pounds and comes with Hitachi's 5-year warranty and a pair of safety glasses.

There are plenty of good reasons to have a palm nailer in your arsenal, so it makes sense that a company so well known for the quality of their pneumatic nailers finally has one.
The new Hitachi Palm Nailer operates between 80 and 100 PSI which is a little bit of a tighter range than a full size framing nailer would use. The advantages of course are that you can use bulk nails rather than strips, it's much lighter weight, and you get into some awfully tight spaces. Let's not forget how much your thumbs will thank you if you’re a little hit or miss with a framing hammer.
Retail prices haven't been announced yet, but early indications suggest we’re looking at the $40 – $60 range.
Keep your eyes open for the Hitachi Palm Nailer to show up at Acme Tools soon!
